Dalheri Temple

The Dalheri Mandir was built in the same year as Chanahlag temple i.e. 1815 by Sahaj Ram the younger brother of Ram Singh to bestow thanks to Maa Jwala for protecting them from Gurkha invaders. The Mandir 7½ X 7½ feet long and wide is 11 feet high built in simple stone masonry. The roof is dome shaped. The Mandir at Village Dalheri is taken care of by local people residing here and in nearby places, of whom Maa Jwala of Nagar Koti is Kula Devi as well. The Mandir was repaired in 2000 retaining its original shape, size and structure by the efforts of Chambel Singh and other residents of the village. During repair only the original dome was demolished and reconstructed as it was irreparable. The repair and re-construction work of the Mandir was completed on the 20th day of Baisakh in the Bikrami Year 2057 corresponding to the Christian calendar date 2nd May 2000 by manual, material and financial donations by the locals. The Mandir houses 2 idols of Durga besides other idols and 12 pindis. At a distance of about 100 meters from the Mandir a raised platform measuring 5½’x5½’ has been made where the Shirgul Devta is worshipped. Access to the Mandir is from Bunty Ka Ghat which is 8 Km from Bagthan on the Charpari-Solan road and about 55 km from Solan on the Solan-Charpari-Bagthan road. A 500 meters downhill foot trek from near the Panchyat Ghar Lana Baka leads to the Mandir. The Mandir is located at a scenic spot in between the pines trees and one visiting the Mandir of Chanahlag should not miss visiting this place and pay obeyance to Maa Jwala.

Shirgul Devta

In 1993 a small raised platform measuring 1¼ x 1¼ feet was built opposite the Mandir of Maa Jwala for worshipping Shirgul Devta which happens to be the Kul Devta (Dynastic Dev) of the Miyan’s, Pandit’s and other people residing in Chanahlag and its vicinity by the efforts of Ganesh Dutt Shastri and other residents of the nearby villages. The temple has been built in typical Pahari architect.

Shringi Rishi Cave

This is a natural holy cave where Shring Rishi meditated long back. It is about 30 km from Sarahan. The cave is on the Charpari-Narag-Solan road about 4 km west of Chanahlag. After reaching Bunty ka Ghat dogo straight (do not turn for Chanahlag on Dinger Kinner road). After climbing few stairs the entrance to the cave can be reached. There are some smaller caves linked to the main one. These are very narrow and no one knows where they lead to. A natural “Shiv Ling” inside the cave can be seen however, there is no light arrangement. A local fair is held here every year.
